Firmo Cerda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Tapa Red F.C's Firmo Cerda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Quintero in the 22nd minute of play. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Villalon in the 32nd minute of the match. Tapa Red F.C were furious when Celipe Zamarripa was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Firmo Cerda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Quintero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Quintero in the 40th minute of play forced Tapa Red F.C's goalkeeper Firmo Cerda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Firmo Cerda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregorio Quintero's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Firmo Cerda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Quintero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gregorio Quintero in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Firmo Cerda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match was over Cobresal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tapa Red F.C throughout the match.
