The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bai Cheng Ning blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abner Villalobos having to make a save. In the 7th minute Bai Cheng Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abner Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Alberto Gaviño took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nenko Topchev. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bai Cheng Ning got free with Abner Villalobos in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nenko Topchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Alberto Gaviño in the 24th minute of play. Bai Cheng Nings short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Abner Villalobos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bai Cheng Ning might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abner Villalobos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bai Cheng Ning ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Damian’s Team booed when DEOXYS F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nauzet Clausen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bai Cheng Nings short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Abner Villalobos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Damian’s Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DEOXYS F.C. were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luis Alberto Gaviño to strike the kick off in the second half. Damian’s Team's Suscal Urquiaga quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Albert Izarra, made in the 53rd minute of the game. Bai Cheng Ning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Abner Villalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
