With an all-out effort, Uptown Otters's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Liviu Zubaşcu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fabian Kaszubowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gheorghe Herea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Surdilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu got control of the ball when Liviu Zubaşcu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Răzvan Mumuleanu took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aimilios Manolas. Aimilios Manolas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Uptown Otters booed when FC Brink was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Priest didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Liviu Zubaşcu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uptown Otters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liviu Zubaşcu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Călin Macrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Răzvan Mumuleanu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the FC Brink fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Mumuleanu couldn't finish the play. Uptown Otters's Aimilios Manolas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Mumuleanu in the 27th minute of play. Gheorghe Herea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aimilios Manolas having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, FC Brink's Călin Macrea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aimilios Manolas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gheorghe Herea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aurelian Voinea came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Brink fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelian Voinea couldn't finish the play. Aimilios Manolas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gheorghe Herea's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Gheorghe Herea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Răzvan Mumuleanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aimilios Manolas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Răzvan Mumuleanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Aimilios Manolas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Mumuleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th match minute, Uptown Otters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Surdilă to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes FC Brink got a freekick which was hit by Răzvan Mumuleanu. In the 66th minute Gheorghe Herea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aimilios Manolas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Brink's Răzvan Mumuleanu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The throw-in from Staffan Bergman in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Brink's Iulian Udrescu. In the 79th minute of the match Karl-Oskar Jonsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Răzvan Mumuleanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Aimilios Manolas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Gheorghe Herea put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Aimilios Manolas. When the match was over FC Brink could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Uptown Otters throughout the match.
