A collision led to Gnuville BK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Håkan Billström hit a great ball. Johannes Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Kvist in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walery Poniewaz in the 6th minute of play forced Gnuville BK's goalkeeper Johannes Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Gordon Strachan. John Bergström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 25th minute, Leonard Bronicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gnuville BK's Johannes Söderström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Gnuville BK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Leeds United FC booed when Gnuville BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Billström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The coaching staff of Gnuville BK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Håkan Billström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Håkan Billström kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gnuville BK's Johannes Söderström got control of the ball when Sture Tolsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Hellbom in the 37th minute of play forced Gnuville BK's goalkeeper Johannes Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Jan-Ove Ånger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Johannes Söderström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aaron Kvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Johannes Söderström made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Bergfeldt came free, but John Bergström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonard Bronicki hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torgny Bergfeldt to make the kick off. In the 84th minute, Josef Hellbom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johannes Söderström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Johannes Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Hellbom in the 87th minute of play. Leeds United FC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Gnuville BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sture Tolsson took the corner. Aaron Kvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Söderström having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gnuville BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
