The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Stefan Karlstedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joar Bank was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Cosmopolitan FC booed when Kings of the North was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Morat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Ermano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joar Bank. Kings of the North's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Ermano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 16 minutes into the game, Cosmopolitan FC's Osvaldo Ermano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joar Bank made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Osvaldo Ermano might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joar Bank. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Ermano ran back to his position shaking his head. Joar Bank stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torsten Jonsson's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. If Osvaldo Ermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Gerdberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Ermano took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joar Bank. Joar Bank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Jonsson in the 38th minute of play forced Kings of the North's goalkeeper Joar Bank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Osvaldo Ermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Ermano in the 44th minute of play forced Kings of the North's goalkeeper Joar Bank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Kings of the North's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Ermano came free, but Joar Bank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joar Bank didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Ermano went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Hagström to strike the kick off in the second half. Torsten Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Joar Bank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Torsten Jonsson sped through Kings of the North's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joar Bank. After 65 played minutes Kings of the North got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Morat. Cosmopolitan FC made a substitution. Tomas Skoog replaced Svante Kinell. In the 72nd minute Torsten Jonsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joar Bank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evert Pihlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Pihlgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joar Bank. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evert Pihlgren ran back to his position shaking his head. If Evert Pihlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joar Bank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Sven-Olof Boklund kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When Erik Gerdberg fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kings of the North's protests and gave Erik Gerdberg a yellow card for diving instead. Erik Gerdberg kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Kings of the North's Nils-Emil Morat got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 94 played minutes Cosmopolitan FC got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Erik Gustavsson. A collision led to Cosmopolitan FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Karl-Åke Brenner hit a great ball.
