After some careless play in the FC Drik defense, Javier Turi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erling Jeilman. The FC Drik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erling Jeilman should have stopped the shot. Orest Bredun scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erling Jeilman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute, Gjermund Viste ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erling Jeilman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. FC Drik's Erling Jeilman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orest Bredun in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Alfred Klawki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Erling Jeilman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Orest Bredun took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erling Jeilman. Erling Jeilman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. When Legia Stavanger's Javier Turi, in the 25th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Legia Stavanger. In the 26th minute, Alfred Klawki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erling Jeilman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 31 minutes into the match, Javier Turi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erling Jeilman. FC Drik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Javier Turi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. 36 minutes into the game, Legia Stavanger's Javier Turi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erling Jeilman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. In the 44th minute, Humberto Passos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legia Stavanger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half.
