The Potters's Wladimir Vinthen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camron Rhodes in the 8th minute of play. Wladimir Vinthen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şükür Hagi in the 13th minute. Wladimir Vinthen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camron Rhodes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grant Blacknell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, The Potters's goal looked a bit too open when Şükür Hagi came free, but Wladimir Vinthen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şükür Hagi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Wladimir Vinthen made a huge save. Wladimir Vinthen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Pearch, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With an all-out effort, Leicester Lions's Wladimir Vinthen threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from George Pearch, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Grant Blacknell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when George Pearch made the kick off in the second half. Grant Blacknell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Bilge Bozoğlu in the 56th minute of play. Wladimir Vinthen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camron Rhodes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes The Potters got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Bilge Bozoğlu. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Potters walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
