The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uwe Kuhni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Rekawiczka in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blau Weiß Sauerland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armin Kirchhoff was slow to take the kick. During this time Französisch Buchholz FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Blau Weiß Sauerland getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Philip Schilder hit a great ball. Armin Kirchhoff was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Wincenty Rekawiczka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Wincenty Rekawiczka cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Uwe Kuhni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Heimko Geisen made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Adam Pingel sent off a good shot on target. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Clementi in the 26th minute of play. When Wincenty Rekawiczka came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Französisch Buchholz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincenty Rekawiczka couldn't finish the play. Heimko Geisen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Nunes in the 32nd minute. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincenty Rekawiczka in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Nunes got free with Heimko Geisen in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Uwe Nemitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the game, Französisch Buchholz FC's Jeremias Clementi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uwe Kuhni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wincenty Rekawiczka made a kick off. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Französisch Buchholz FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tristan Uschok was slow to take the kick. During this time Blau Weiß Sauerland's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Blau Weiß Sauerland's Tristan Uschok to fire away a dangerous shot which Heimko Geisen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 58th match minute, Blau Weiß Sauerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Uschok to maneuver through the defense. If Adam Pingel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Französisch Buchholz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pingel came free, but Heimko Geisen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Blau Weiß Sauerland's Adam Pingel, in the 92nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Blau Weiß Sauerland. After having played for 94 minutes, Wincenty Rekawiczka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Französisch Buchholz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincenty Rekawiczka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Heimko Geisen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Pingel, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Adam Pingel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Heimko Geisen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
