After 24 minutes, Jonathan Blank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Lilli and the Witney City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Lilli's Jonathan Blank got a free kick in the 24th minute. Rio Best was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tim Hurren to strike the kick off in the second half. When Tim Hurren came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Witney City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tim Hurren couldn't finish the play. FC Lilli's Aílton Leme was substituted for Arbo Stamm. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tim Hurren in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto-Stephan Hennig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The FC Lilli supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Lilli would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
