Hannes Sandwall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Evert Heremans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hannes Sandwall. Leicester Foxes Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evert Heremans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 11th minute, Manuel Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Gol. Hannes Sandwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Leicester Foxes Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Elliott to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Gol hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Oscar Drake could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Siim Kikas made a huge save. Manuel Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Hannes Sandwall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manuel Peres came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the De Gulden Draak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Peres couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Oscar Drake's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Siim Kikas was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evert Heremans in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hannes Sandwall saved Leicester Foxes Academy from getting behind. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leicester Foxes Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anselm Neuhäuser was slow to take the kick. During this time De Gulden Draak's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Leicester Foxes Academy booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Kettler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hannes Sandwall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Peres in the 38th minute of play. Hannes Sandwall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Heremans, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Evert Heremans took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hannes Sandwall. Hannes Sandwall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Manuel Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Gulden Draak's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hannes Sandwall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Leicester Foxes Academy booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselm Neuhäuser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Drake, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Drake was the one to do the kick off. When Manuel Peres came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the De Gulden Draak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Peres couldn't finish the play. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Drake in the 55th minute of play. With a little luck, Leicester Foxes Academy's Hannes Sandwall got control of the ball when Manuel Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to De Gulden Draak getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Justin Ostrowicki hit a great ball. Siim Kikas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Young in the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudius Marsching in the 60th minute of play forced Leicester Foxes Academy's goalkeeper Hannes Sandwall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 played minutes Leicester Foxes Academy got a freekick which was hit by Matt Elliott. Leicester Foxes Academy's Cody Beswetherick was substituted for Felipe Gol. Leicester Foxes Academy's Peter Pennant was substituted for Oscar Drake. Leicester Foxes Academy made a substitution. Valeri Dyukmedzhiev replaced Theo Crossley. A collision led to Leicester Foxes Academy getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Matt Elliott hit a great ball. Siim Kikas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Spike Kennedy during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leicester Foxes Academy's Spike Kennedy got a free kick in the 71st minute. Manuel Peres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Hannes Sandwall skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Peter Pennant's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Siim Kikas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute Leicester Foxes Academy were awarded a corner. Martin Margarson went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Martin Margarson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Siim Kikas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Heremans in the 82nd minute of play forced Leicester Foxes Academy's goalkeeper Hannes Sandwall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Leicester Foxes Academy supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching De Gulden Draak's performance. The match ended with a win for De Gulden Draak.
