Hannes Sandwall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-Arne Riise in the 4th minute of play. Hannes Sandwall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John-Arne Riise in the 9th minute of the match. At last the ball reached Benne Reijnders at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Leicester Foxes Academy. 1-0. Per Nørbjerg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hannes Sandwall having to make a save. Gert Altorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Drake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hannes Sandwall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-Arne Riise, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Drake in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gert Altorn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Torben Steenhede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert Altorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Ericsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Young in the 28th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Gert Altorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Alan Young notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Hønning's Gert Altorn. Gert Altorn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leicester Foxes Academy were furious when Sebastian Björkkvist was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 32nd minute, one of Leicester Foxes Academy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leicester Foxes Academy. Martin Ericsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gert Altorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Leicester Foxes Academy's Hannes Sandwall got control of the ball when Per Nørbjerg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 40 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Fillip Knutstad. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John-Arne Riise to make the kick off. Leicester Foxes Academy's Martin Ericsson got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Young got free with Gert Altorn in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Leicester Foxes Academy's Alan Young slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gert Altorn. That made the score 2-2 after 63 minutes of play. Gert Altorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hønning's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niles Andrews was slow to take the kick. During this time Leicester Foxes Academy's players had a chance to rest. Per Nørbjerg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Hønning's zone, Valeri Dyukmedzhiev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gert Altorn came out of the goal and Valeri Dyukmedzhiev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hannes Sandwall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Nørbjerg in the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Torben Steenhede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Niles Andrews from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Gert Altorn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 87 minutes into the match, Alan Young dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gert Altorn, 2-3. Alan Young kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Felipe Gol was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Leicester Foxes Academy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Hønning fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Leicester Foxes Academy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
