Tim Johnstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Draper in the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Ionuț Mureșan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Ionuț Mureșan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The supporters of The Tigers booed when Carlisle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Forsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benji Murray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Carlisle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. After 25 played minutes Carlisle United got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Vidal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionuț Mureșan in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan saved Carlisle United from getting behind. When The Tigers's Ionuț Mureșan in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carlisle United's goalie prevented a goal. The Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carlisle United the free kick. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Tigers! Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyrone Meehan in the 38th minute of the match. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by The Tigers's Hayden Moore. But to his dismay, Hayden Moore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ionuț Mureșan to make the kick off. Vilhelm Sellberg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Andreas Forsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes, The Tigers's Dave Joy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Tigers reached it. Ionuț Mureșan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Tyrone Meehan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan, 1-3. Tyrone Meehan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a huge save. If Ionuț Mureșan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ionuț Mureșan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Ionuț Mureșan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionuț Mureșan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, The Tigers's Tyrone Meehan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Phil Clarke managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Phil Clarke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duncan Draper struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tim Johnstone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carlisle United. Tyrone Meehan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a huge save. The supporters of The Tigers booed when Carlisle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Draper didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tigers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
