Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Joseph to make the kick off. Ludomir Witkowski got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alejo Ongile. Club Sportivo Quilmes's Pastor Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Loren in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Sebastian Verón managed to get in a good position for a shot.
