Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Congo Bongo's Damaso Sancho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Sergio Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Congo Bongo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Austin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caleb Law kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Velez Sarsfield's attentive Ando Averin managed to snatch the ball when Andrew Specht made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 10th minute of play forced Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sancho in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Javier Pinola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máté Márton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Sergi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damaso Sancho's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Sancho in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodosio Sergi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Andrew Specht in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin. After 23 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Máté Márton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Velez Sarsfield's attentive Ando Averin managed to snatch the ball when Andrew Specht made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Cordario in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Máté Márton saved Congo Bongo from getting behind. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máté Márton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Andrew Specht threw the ball into play from the sideline. Velez Sarsfield's Javier Pinola quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 36th minute, Augusto Cordario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Máté Márton was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 40 minutes into the game, Augusto Cordario cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Máté Márton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Damaso Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Teodosio Sergi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Congo Bongo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Velez Sarsfield were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Cordario to make the kick off. The throw-in from Andrew Specht in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin. If Damaso Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teodosio Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Sancho came free, but Teodosio Sergi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Máté Márton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Cordario in the 65th minute. Augusto Cordario's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Máté Márton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Congo Bongo's Máté Márton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Congo Bongo from getting a goal against them. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp was substituted for Ignacio Berenguer. Velez Sarsfield's Ronan Mistral managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wu Hong Ning in the 72 minute of the game. In the 74th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronan Mistral to maneuver through the defense. Teodosio Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Cucho in the 80th minute of play. Teodosio Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Cucho, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Filomeno Montrell replaced Javier Pinola. Andrew Specht made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Omar Erramun. Augusto Cordario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Máté Márton made a huge save. Velez Sarsfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filomeno Montrell in the 86th minute. The corner ended in Filomeno Montrell almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Congo Bongo's Máté Márton did a great save. In the 88th minute Arnaldo Oidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Sergi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Augusto Cordario came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Velez Sarsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Cordario couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Velez Sarsfield had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
