The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Raymond showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arquímedes's Anastasio Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 17th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Arquímedes's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Dalgren came free, but Anastasio Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Gavino Hitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Anastasio Quirce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisco Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Admon in the 27th minute of the match. Anastasio Quirce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdulhamit Yavaş in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Raymond saved Racing Club from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Gavino Hitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute Danilo Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute Victorino Bonadona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

57 minutes into the game, Dante Teyo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Arquímedes's Wen Sha Cheng quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 61st match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Nisio to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Raymond made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdulhamit Yavaş in the 64th minute. After 65 played minutes Arquímedes got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Nabar. Francisco Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Rosio in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Abdulhamit Yavaş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arquímedes's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdulhamit Yavaş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
