Indiana Jones was slow to take the kick. During this time Club El Progreso's players had a chance to rest. If Indiana Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cesare Cardillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Indiana Jones in the 12th minute. Ioan Cândea's late challenge caught a Lechuguitas F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ioan Cândea helped the player get up and apologised. Ioan Cândea kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Florentino Nabar missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 23 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Benjamin Tino right hand side. Thanks to some nice moves Indiana Jones could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Cesare Cardillo however easily saved by the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Anton Bârsan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Tino. Club El Progreso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Bârsan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Washington Papa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Cardillo having to interfere. Modesto Amor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Tino having to make a save. Indiana Jones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Indiana Jones. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Club El Progreso fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Benjamin Tino, was totally fooled by Lechuguitas F.C.'s Anton Bârsan, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cesare Cardillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indiana Jones in the 69th minute of the match. If Washington Papa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Bârsans short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Benjamin Tino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Laureano Dimas kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Cesare Cardillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Indiana Jones went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, Modesto Amor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benjamin Tino, 1-3. In the 94th match minute, Club El Progreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Bârsan, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Lechuguitas F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lechuguitas F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
