In the 6thth minute of the game Federico Insúa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celtic FC's Sebastián Junes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastián Junes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Insúa in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Junes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Itzaina. In the 11th minute of the match Los Liquisue FC got a corner. Celtic FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Norberto Acevedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Celtic FC's goalie and right to Federico Insúa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Celtic FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Uwe Septinius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Lugo in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute Los Liquisue FC were awarded a corner. Norberto Acevedo went to the cornerflag to take it. Hermengildo Itzaina was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Los Liquisue FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Norberto Acevedo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Lugo in the 22nd minute of play forced Los Liquisue FC's goalkeeper Uwe Septinius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th play minute Federico Insúa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sebastián Junes. 1-0. Uwe Septinius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Einar Niit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, Celtic FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umur Aksoy to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Celtic FC's Sebastián Junes got control of the ball when Federico Insúa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Insúa to make the kick off. Isidoro Lugo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Uwe Septinius made a huge save. Uwe Septinius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Umur Aksoy fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtic FC's protests and gave Umur Aksoy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Umur Aksoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Liquisue FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Norberto Acevedo in the 56th minute. Sebastián Junes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Insúa in the 61st minute of the match. Federico Insúa might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastián Junes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Insúa ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Celtic FC defense, Federico Insúa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastián Junes. The Celtic FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastián Junes should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Lugo during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A sloppy throw-in by Umur Aksoy in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Los Liquisue FC's Hermengildo Itzaina. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Liquisue FC fully deserved thier win.
