Enrique Frasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geronimo Ongile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Lázaro Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Benjamin Neto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lázaro Colon. Benjamin Neto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Belmiro in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lázaro Colon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute of the match, Teobaldo Belmiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lázaro Colon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 24th minute Calistrat Geangu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Enrique Frasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juniors FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gastres FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 27 minutes of play, Gastres FC's Benjamin Neto made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lázaro Colon was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Salomon in the 48th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Juniors FC's Tomás Salomon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geronimo Ongile made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Frasco to strike the kick off in the second half.
