The audience was convinced that Carolo Goito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dochko Rodev was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaj Skager got free with Marco Veto in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olgierd Jazwiec to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Rocky Balboa F.C.'s Dochko Rodev threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olgierd Jazwiec, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 56th minute Rocky Balboa F.C. were awarded a corner. The Rocky Balboa F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rocky Balboa F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
