In the 17th minute Marcial Roldanillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suban Arriba took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Quentin. Carlos Quentin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelco FC's goalkeeper Saverio Fidele, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Rufio in the 44th minute of play forced Pincha FC's goalkeeper Carlos Quentin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pincha FC were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Chelco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victorio Hondo took the corner. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Torbjörn Hökqvist made the kick off in the second half.
