Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kyle Thake kicked off to start the match. Adrián Espadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Lentini having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Matt Sciortino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floriana Celtics's supporters rose to their feet, but Matt Sciortino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Wennerqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dan Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Thake, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 13th minute, Adrián Espadas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Lentini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Espadas came free, but Richard Lentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Lentini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Zézinho Neiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Lentini. Floriana Celtics's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zézinho Neiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Richard Lentini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Espadas in the 23rd minute of the match. Richard Lentini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Venceslao in the 25th minute of play. Giorgio Caruana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Wennerqvist having to interfere. Richard Lentini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Espadas in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Soroca F.C.'s Gustavo Tartalo got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 41 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Tartalo. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Richard Lentini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adrián Espadas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 58 minute of play. Soroca F.C.'s Romulo Thomas was substituted for Gustavo Tartalo. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Răzvan Necula might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Lentini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Răzvan Necula ran back to his position shaking his head. 70 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Necula came free, but Richard Lentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Floriana Celtics made a substitution. Robby Baggio replaced Olgierd Dawiec. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Rodolfo Atarrabi replaced Hernan Lano. Soroca F.C.'s attentive Cyprien Combaz managed to snatch the ball when Mike Stivala made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Necula came free, but Richard Lentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 82nd minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Stivala's late challenge caught a Soroca F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Răzvan Necula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Lentini was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Răzvan Necula ran back to his position shaking his head. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Soroca F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
