Honorio Froila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Besiktas's Honorio Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olcay Bozkurt in the 19th minute of play. Olcay Bozkurt might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honorio Froila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olcay Bozkurt ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Besiktas's goal looked a bit too open when Olcay Bozkurt came free, but Honorio Froila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olcay Bozkurt in the 34th minute of play forced Besiktas's goalkeeper Honorio Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Besiktas defense, Zhao Xun Jun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honorio Froila. The Besiktas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honorio Froila should have stopped the shot. Besiktas's Honorio Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Junior in the 38th minute of play. Olcay Bozkurt might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honorio Froila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olcay Bozkurt ran back to his position shaking his head. Honorio Froila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olcay Bozkurt in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, RO Army V55's Alexandros Iordanidis got control of the ball when Per-Oskar Nykvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to RO Army V55 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Zhao Xun Jun hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

In the 54th minute Claes Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandros Iordanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olcay Bozkurt came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the RO Army V55 fans jumped to their feet. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Honorio Froila, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edgardo Ugutz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Honorio Froila 76 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Edgardo Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Froila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Ugutz in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Honorio Froila saved Besiktas from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Junior got free with Honorio Froila in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Besiktas's zone, Edgardo Ugutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Froila came out of the goal and Edgardo Ugutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Besiktas's Honorio Froila got control of the ball when Edgardo Ugutz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinícius Junior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
