In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohieddine Ayari, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Mohieddine Ayari took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jiang Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as CERRO PORTEÑO's Mohieddine Ayari slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pankracy Glogowski. That made the score 1-2 after 56 minutes of play. Pankracy Glogowski was a little too slow when Mohieddine Ayari got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-3. 66 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jiang Lei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lázaro Cuartio hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mohieddine Ayari. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Club Atlético Atlanta lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
