The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maciej Ciemiega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute Mugur Chiriac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François-Xavier Dionnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. François-Xavier Dionnet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Nevada in the 11th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Fernandez in the 14th minute of play. Ruquense FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Anselmo Nevada scored to the left of an out of position François-Xavier Dionnet, making the score, 1-0. Basilio Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. François-Xavier Dionnet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 24th minute of play. Basilio Fernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pankracy Glogowski having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Goicoechea got free with François-Xavier Dionnet in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Nevada. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basilio Fernandez's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Alfonso Goicoechea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but François-Xavier Dionnet made a huge save. In the 39th minute Anselmo Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François-Xavier Dionnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Goicoechea to strike the kick off in the second half. François-Xavier Dionnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 56th minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. François-Xavier Dionnet came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea. But to his dismay, Alfonso Goicoechea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 67 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Quirze came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Fernandez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Pankracy Glogowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Maciej Ciemiega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 79th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Quirze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Domenec was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basilio Fernandez in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Nevada in the 85th minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes, Eustaquio Jaizki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Ruquense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eustaquio Jaizki hit a great ball. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basilio Fernandez in the 87th minute. The supporters of Ruquense FC booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Cuartio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Maciej Ciemiega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 93rd minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ruquense FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Atlanta.
