Severino Capixaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Witomir Motyl made a huge save. Fonso Zotillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsrafil Mengü, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsrafil Mengü in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
