Gordon Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Predators's Semir Jakubović got control of the ball when Gordon Suarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enes Uyguner in the 4th minute of play forced Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulin Sequeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Semir Jakubović made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evaristo Gurruchaga in the 19th minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Çakır Baycan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Predators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çakır Baycan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walker Bird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulin Sequeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enes Uyguner in the 39th minute of the match. Semir Jakubović made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gordon Suarez in the 42nd minute. 47 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Enes Uyguner came free, but Paulin Sequeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Çakır Baycan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Vanadio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordon Suarez to maneuver through the defense. Gordon Suarez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Semir Jakubović having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordon Suarez in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Semir Jakubović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Servando Ariztimuño left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vanadio F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Vanadio F.C.'s Leizarraga Olmedo was substituted for Evaristo Gurruchaga. 70 minutes into the match, Predators's goal looked a bit too open when Leizarraga Olmedo came free, but Semir Jakubović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Semir Jakubović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leizarraga Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Semir Jakubović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leizarraga Olmedo in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Vanadio F.C.'s Gordon Suarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Semir Jakubović made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With 92 minutes on the clock, Zbyszko Glembin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 93 played minutes Predators got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszko Glembin. When Leizarraga Olmedo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Vanadio F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leizarraga Olmedo couldn't finish the play. Vanadio F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
