Ferruccio Borrelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Hanselmann's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Patrick Hanselmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferruccio Borrelli. Tiburones Rojos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrick Hanselmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The corner ended in Frutos Macedo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Liechtenstein's Jacob Josef Zurflüh did a great save. Damian Sangrigoli kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Samuel Keller scored 0-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferruccio Borrelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Liechtenstein could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tiburones Rojos throughout the match.
