The Made in Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Cordoba should have stopped the shot. Enok Hansen kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Made in Paraguay's Ni Qi Yuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingi Castilho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Faroe Islands's Ingi Castilho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ni Qi Yuan in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Made in Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when René Jacobsen came free, but Oscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ni Qi Yuan to strike the kick off in the second half. Enok Hansen hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ni Qi Yuan in the 57th minute of play forced Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Ingi Castilho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes Made in Paraguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard who took care of the corner kick. Leif Fróði Hansen hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Made in Paraguay's Tytus Majdoch was substituted for Ni Qi Yuan. The supporters of Made in Paraguay booed when Faroe Islands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Fróði Hansen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzo Maradona, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match Made in Paraguay got a corner. Faroe Islands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonzo Maradona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Made in Paraguay's Gonzo Maradona to fire away a dangerous shot which Ingi Castilho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Oscar Cordoba was a little too slow when Poul Stanković got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 1-2. Tytus Majdoch took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingi Castilho. Ingi Castilho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Ingi Castilho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tytus Majdoch in the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 played minutes, Faroe Islands's Fríðrikur Ellingsgaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oscar Cordoba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Faroe Islands reached it. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
