In the 4th minute of the match Zé Baptista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Durval Guerra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Erik Antunes took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeu Netto. Romeu Netto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Icoara Football Club's zone, Andrés Chavez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Guerra came out of the goal and Andrés Chavez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Metolokos MZ Clube got a freekick which was hit by Andrés Chavez. Metolokos MZ Clube's Romeu Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Ramos in the 15th minute of play. After 34 minutes, Dito Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Metolokos MZ Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Dito Ramos got a free kick in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yakup Kadri Akbatur in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Icoara Football Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Romeu Netto was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Cipriano Santana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cipriano Santana really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. A collision led to Metolokos MZ Clube getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Yakup Kadri Akbatur hit a great ball. Metolokos MZ Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Erik Antunes scored to the left of an out of position Romeu Netto, making the score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Mesquita during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Metolokos MZ Clube's Raimundo Mesquita got a free kick in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yakup Kadri Akbatur in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durval Guerra saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. Durval Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Metolokos MZ Clube's goalkeeper Romeu Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dito Ramos. 82 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Catarinense came free, but Durval Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yakup Kadri Akbatur in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90thth minute of the game Yakup Kadri Akbatur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute Yakup Kadri Akbatur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dito Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Romeu Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Antunes in the 97th minute of play.
