FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Baldomiro Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislaw Kolbe in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 15th minute of play forced KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's goalkeeper Iwo Dombroski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's Iwo Dombroski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save KS Luxik Ruda Śląska from getting a goal against them. Baldomiro Txindoki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Czubski in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Orçun Yalınalp hit a great ball. Wilson Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iwo Dombroski came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Orçun Yalınalp. But to his dismay, Orçun Yalınalp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orçun Yalınalp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Cândreanu. 54 minutes into the match, KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's goal looked a bit too open when Qian Chao Tian came free, but Iwo Dombroski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Carnicero in the 55th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Teobald Hodas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomiro Txindoki was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After a rather tough play, KS Luxik Ruda Śląska's Stanislaw Kolbe got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 78 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boleslaw Czubski. Iwo Dombroski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 83rd minute of play. Stanislaw Kolbe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-3 in the 84th playminute. Teobald Hodas scored 5-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomiro Txindoki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute Orçun Yalınalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwo Dombroski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Cândreanu in the 98th minute. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
