The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Nicu Vornicu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgar Ström. Nicu Vornicu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Nicu Vornicu came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Anversa Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicu Vornicu couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute of the match, Winarto Songgonau tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgar Ström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edgar Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Vornicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Winarto Songgonau in the 15th minute of the match. Edgar Ström had great luck who in the 15thth minute grab hold of the ball when Winarto Songgonau from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Waut Van Der Meeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Siöman, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Edgar Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Winarto Songgonau in the 22nd minute of the match. Claudio García could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Edgar Ström made a huge save. Edgar Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 30th minute of play. Ludwig Smedfeldt hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludwig Smedfeldt in the 33rd minute of play forced Anversa Club's goalkeeper Waut Van Der Meeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Niclas Ivarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Reiner Fallas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Ström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Ström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reiner Fallas in the 39th minute. The supporters of Anversa Club booed when Hisingen IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Arne Wester didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes Anversa Club got a freekick which was hit by Mickael De Winter. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktor Nyman to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Ström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicu Vornicu went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When Marko Siöman came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Hisingen IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marko Siöman couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Anversa Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Serhan Mehmet hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Mattias Gabrielsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waut Van Der Meeren skillfully saved the ball. In the 61st minute, Claudio García ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Ström was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 77th minute Reiner Fallas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Ström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ludwig Smedfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 81st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Viktor Nyman took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Waut Van Der Meeren to make any attempt to save it. Claes Carlsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Waut Van Der Meeren firmly grabbed it by the left post. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Anversa Club fully deserved thier win.
