The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Egídio Lucas hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Nasos Aggeliou reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Caetano Monteiro. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 8th minute, Alkis Athanasiou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caetano Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Icoara Football Club from getting a goal against them. Thiago Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Alkis Athanasiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Monteiro having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Laércio das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icoara Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kolopetinitsa the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio das Neves to maneuver through the defense. Nasos Aggeliou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simos Mellios during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Simos Mellios hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markos Melisofagos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes, Carlinhos Negri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Kolopetinitsa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Carlinhos Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Simos Mellios came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Caetano Monteiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th minute, Nasos Aggeliou reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Caetano Monteiro. The goal made the score 3-0. After some careless play in the Icoara Football Club defense, Nasos Aggeliou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caetano Monteiro. The Icoara Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caetano Monteiro should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Markos Melisofagos notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro. Caetano Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markos Melisofagos in the 57th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genílson de Queirós during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Genílson de Queirós hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Fabrício Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Icoara Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrício Rosa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Kolopetinitsa booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Markos Melisofagos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Bogdanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the game, Nasos Aggeliou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Caetano Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markos Melisofagos in the 77th minute of play. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kolopetinitsa's Markos Melisofagos. But to his dismay, Markos Melisofagos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Caetano Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasos Aggeliou in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Nasos Aggeliou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caetano Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. When the referee ended the match the Kolopetinitsa players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
