With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Baia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute Guido Vissenaeken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyon Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 minutes Astreix&ObelixSoccer's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ümit Karan who took care of the corner kick. 8 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liam Bray. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astreix&ObelixSoccer's goalkeeper Martyon Diehl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Dacian Hrean got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alfons Bagge hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Astreix&ObelixSoccer's Dave Di Gregorio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Di Gregorio came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Brugge United defense, Jonathan Willetts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Baia. The Brugge United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Baia should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Bagge to maneuver through the defense. Brugge United were furious when Alfons Bagge was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 46 minutes into the game, one of Brugge United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liam Bray was the one to do the kick off. Ümit Karan charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ümit Karan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ümit Karan hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Astreix&ObelixSoccer made a substitution. Manuel Viñaspre replaced Cent Salomonsen. Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe was substituted for Guido Vissenaeken. In the 59th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ümit Karan to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Bray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnauld Van Impe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martyon Diehl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Di Gregorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Di Gregorio in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Bray in the 68th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Rambo in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Astreix&ObelixSoccer booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waud Huijbrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martyon Diehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 87th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Peng Qi Chong made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Baia. Brugge United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Martyon Diehl. That made the score 4-2 after 97 minutes of play.
