Adolfo Ruisko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yosif Bakrachev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Kanaryalar's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Coporan came free, but Adolfo Ruisko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Ruisko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Przemyslaw Bejgier, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The Red Bulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 36 minutes into the game, Red Bulls's Yosif Bakrachev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adolfo Ruisko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Vural Sadri might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Pyrtek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vural Sadri ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Red Bulls's Pankracy Pyrtek got control of the ball when Vural Sadri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kanaryalar's Adolfo Ruisko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Coporan in the 42nd minute of play. Vural Sadri in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pankracy Pyrtek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Kanaryalar getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Olle Sundberg hit a great ball. After the first half Red Bulls were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yosif Bakrachev made a kick off. Iustin Coporan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Adolfo Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pankracy Pyrtek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vural Sadri in the 55th minute of the match. Kanaryalar's Alvar Aspengren was substituted for Vural Sadri. Kanaryalar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vintilă Bordeanu in the 57th minute. The corner ended in Vintilă Bordeanu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Red Bulls's Pankracy Pyrtek did a great save. 59 minutes into the match, Kanaryalar's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Gelacio came free, but Adolfo Ruisko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Bordeanu in the 60th minute of play forced Red Bulls's goalkeeper Pankracy Pyrtek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Red Bulls's Iustin Coporan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Ruisko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Kanaryalar's goalkeeper Adolfo Ruisko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Coporan. If Vintilă Bordeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esbjörn Bocklund's late challenge caught a Red Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esbjörn Bocklund helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Esbjörn Bocklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
