Marcel Kühlert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Rivero in the 3rd minute of the match. Marcel Kühlert made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Roman Lon sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute, one of Montana FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montana FC. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Goiatuba E.C.. Ramon Lugo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Modesto Nofre. 0-1. Luís Fábio Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fábio Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Goiatuba E.C.'s Luís Fábio Antunes got a free kick in the 13th minute. Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Aztore in the 14th minute of play. Benjamín Izquierdo had several of the Goiatuba E.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Marcel Kühlert as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marcel Kühlert was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Wilfredo Rivero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wilfredo Rivero really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Montana FC's Ismael Nazario Lavín slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcel Kühlert. That made the score 3-1 after 26 minutes of play. With 32 minutes on the clock, Bartjan Pelsers commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Goiatuba E.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Goiatuba E.C.:s Marcel Kühlert showed great skill when he stopped Roman Lon:s penalty. In the 33rd minute, Roman Lon made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Kühlert. Goiatuba E.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. José Paulo Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Nofre having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Goiatuba E.C. got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Dracena. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Eleuterio Aztore sped through Goiatuba E.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcel Kühlert. In the 47th minute, Luís Fábio Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eleuterio Aztore to strike the kick off in the second half. Dudu Mesquita hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Marcel Kühlert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamín Izquierdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Caco Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Goiatuba E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco Arantes to maneuver through the defense. After 61 played minutes Montana FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Rivero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Aztore in the 63rd minute of play forced Goiatuba E.C.'s goalkeeper Marcel Kühlert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th match minute, Goiatuba E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Borges to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Kühlert came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Montana FC's Benjamín Izquierdo. But to his dismay, Benjamín Izquierdo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Marcel Kühlert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Rivero, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The Montana FC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Montana FC's Eleuterio Aztore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 88th minute, Caco Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, Montana FC's Eleuterio Aztore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Kühlert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-1. Marcel Kühlert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Rivero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montana FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
