Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mugur Chiriac in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Chorche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Serafim Catranides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores del Ángel Gris's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafim Catranides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pankracy Glogowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Gilabert in the 9th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Remigio Erramu got a free kick in the 14th minute. With his leg Uriel Chorche managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Club Atlético Atlanta's Anselmo Nevada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 20th minute Anselmo Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes Club Atlético Atlanta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eleuterio Chabier who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Eleuterio Chabier almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski did a great save. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Anselmo Nevada got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Serafim Catranides took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Serafim Catranides notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hermengildo Erroman got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Remigio Erramu. In the 35th minute, Leopoldo Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Ochabski in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Alfonso Gilabert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Gilabert to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute Defensores del Ángel Gris were awarded a corner. Eleuterio Chabier went to the cornerflag to take it. After 54 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Goicoechea. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Eleuterio Chabier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uriel Chorche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Alfonso Gilabert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfonso Gilabert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Glogowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uriel Chorche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Benigno Abreu replaced Remigio Erramu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Jaizki in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Chorche saved Defensores del Ángel Gris from getting behind. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Defensores del Ángel Gris's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ciro Ferdinand was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Atlanta's players had a chance to rest. Bernard Ochabski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Defensores del Ángel Gris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Estebano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Although Club Atlético Atlanta had been in control for most of the match, Defensores del Ángel Gris still came away with the win.
