Mihály Fülep's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julius Tenbruck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Mihály Fülep scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julius Tenbruck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julius Tenbruck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihály Fülep in the 27th minute of the match. If Mihály Fülep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mihály Fülep might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julius Tenbruck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mihály Fülep ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Niva in the 47th minute of play forced O rey Iván's goalkeeper Aristides Barea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SV PM Cottbus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. O rey Iván were winning 0-2.
