Desiderio Ostargi started the match with the kick off. Tiberiu Caramarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Feliciano Elodio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Elodio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Orășan in the 96th minute of play forced 1989 Blxsk's goalkeeper Feliciano Elodio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Elodio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. MIT were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
