After 6 minutes, Brandon Teisseire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaponnay FC and the U21 France players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Brandon Teisseire hit a great ball. Dilan Bobet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Charuel in the 10th minute of play. Quentin Charuel took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dilan Bobet. Dilan Bobet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Chaponnay FC's Brandon Teisseire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Danny Pasquier. Danny Pasquier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The supporters of Chaponnay FC booed when U21 France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Montaigne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chaponnay FC's Dilan Bobet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Borgès in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Chaponnay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rachid Borgès came free, but Dilan Bobet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brandon Teisseire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Danny Pasquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martial Hess charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martial Hess the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. U21 France's Martial Hess managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eduart Rrustemi in the 40 minute of the game. With a little luck, U21 France's Danny Pasquier got control of the ball when Kevan Brossier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Arthur Rannou made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Charuel in the 54th minute of play forced Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Dilan Bobet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Rachid Borgès got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dilan Bobet quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Chaponnay FC defense, Quentin Charuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dilan Bobet. The Chaponnay FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dilan Bobet should have stopped the shot. Dilan Bobet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Charuel in the 59th minute of play. Dilan Bobet made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Rachid Borgès sent off a good shot on target. Arthur Rannou kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Batiste Goguet hit a great ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Quentin Charuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quentin Charuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Eduart Rrustemi in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 France's Martial Hess. After a defensive mix-up in U21 France's zone, Arthur Rannou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Pasquier came out of the goal and Arthur Rannou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. U21 France's Danny Pasquier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevan Brossier in the 82nd minute of play. When Batiste Goguet was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. Batiste Goguet hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Dilan Bobet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, Chaponnay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Carrier to maneuver through the defense. Dilan Bobet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quentin Charuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Charuel in the 90th minute of play forced Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Dilan Bobet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over U21 France could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chaponnay FC throughout the match.
