To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herminio Florinio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Lartaun Ibar made a huge save. Lartaun Ibar was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Herminio Florinio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Herminio Florinio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Miguel Gallegos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lartaun Ibar having to interfere. Lartaun Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Diniz in the 23rd minute of the match. Lartaun Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Koppens in the 26th minute of play. Ricky Koppens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lartaun Ibar having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeo Lechințan in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Guimarães saved Club Deportivo Águila from getting behind. Lartaun Ibar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes Red Proud FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dong Hui Yue who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Chico in the 46th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Águila's goalkeeper Gustavo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lartaun Ibar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Florinio, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Club Deportivo Águila's Ricky Koppens got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when Red Proud FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aipytos Stavropoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Red Proud FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Koppens came free, but Lartaun Ibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Red Proud FC's goalie and right to Miguel Gallegos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Red Proud FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Red Proud FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
