The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Grayson Gruenigen came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Edinson Haaland. But to his dismay, Edinson Haaland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Fischverband Ostschweiz's Albino Olayo got a free kick in the 6th minute. Grayson Gruenigen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edinson Haaland's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Frank Frankfurter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Højlund in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edinson Haaland in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grayson Gruenigen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edinson Haaland in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grayson Gruenigen saved Fischverband Ostschweiz from getting behind. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Frank Frankfurter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Giacomini in the 19th minute of play. Grayson Gruenigen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edinson Haaland in the 23rd minute of the match. If Edinson Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Frankfurter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Giacomini in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Haaland in the 30th minute of play forced Fischverband Ostschweiz's goalkeeper Grayson Gruenigen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Chinese CJ Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Su Jian Jie. Wincent Jaroch hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Frank Frankfurter was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Timofej Felder. Edinson Haaland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Haaland in the 40th minute of play forced Fischverband Ostschweiz's goalkeeper Grayson Gruenigen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tytus Orling kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Andre Giacomini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Frankfurter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Rasmus Højlund charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rasmus Højlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Rasmus Højlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthew Frutig was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 55 in the game by Edinson Haaland from a close distance when the talented Grayson Gruenigen managed to make a qualified save. Fischverband Ostschweiz's players were relieved. Edinson Haaland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grayson Gruenigen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute Rasmus Højlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Frankfurter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edinson Haaland got free with Grayson Gruenigen in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Theo Meyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fischverband Ostschweiz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Edinson Haaland scored to the left of an out of position Grayson Gruenigen, making the score, 0-2. 67 minutes into the match, Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Pfäffli came free, but Frank Frankfurter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grayson Gruenigen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tytus Orling in the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edinson Haaland in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grayson Gruenigen saved Fischverband Ostschweiz from getting behind. Günther Doty took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grayson Gruenigen. Grayson Gruenigen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Grayson Gruenigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Günther Doty in the 88th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Albino Olayo in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Börje Ivarsson. Grayson Gruenigen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Günther Doty's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Giacomini in the 94th minute of play forced Chinese CJ Youth Academy's goalkeeper Frank Frankfurter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute, Günther Doty made a precise shot to the right of Grayson Gruenigen. Fischverband Ostschweiz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.
