Jeremy Avellana made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Heri Noor sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when 叶宁烽 came free, but Jeremy Avellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If 叶宁烽 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Gasteiz Latorre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. But to his dismay, 叶宁烽 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Gasteiz Latorre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Cao Kuan Wei was substituted for Marco Aguirre. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo made a substitution. Anthon Öberg replaced Gasteiz Latorre.
