The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Eagle FC's Ekrem Tapa got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Gjøran Kvale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Gârniceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faruk Gjika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cătălin Gârniceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Eagle FC booed when Autochthonous was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gjøran Kvale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th match minute, Autochthonous was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rami Kapaj to maneuver through the defense. Cătălin Gârniceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faruk Gjika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Rami Kapaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Gârniceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rami Kapaj hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Faruk Gjika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes Autochthonous got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Gjika. After 43rd play minutes Lucio Claus shot 1-0, a short shot which went by 于义常 and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekrem Tapa got free with 于义常 in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Ironside to strike the kick off in the second half. Faruk Gjikas short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Cătălin Gârniceanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cătălin Gârniceanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Ironside's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Rami Kapaj managed to get in a good position for a shot. Autochthonous's supporters rose to their feet, but Rami Kapaj was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cătălin Gârniceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Björn Ironside's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cătălin Gârniceanu was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
