Francisco Barrionuevo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Francisco Ignacio Hanssen sent off a good shot on target. Francisco Barrionuevo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Guerreiro went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Francisco Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Montt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Montt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Francisco Barrionuevo made a huge save. Jean Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlo Darrigrande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
