With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Darrigrande in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Podgoreanu saved CSD Concepción from getting behind. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind CSD Concepción's goalkeeper Emanuel Podgoreanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute of the match Chile got a corner. CSD Concepción's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lorencio Irarrázaval ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edmundo Dávila got a throw-in 20 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Manuel Antonio Amenábar. In the 25th minute Manuel Antonio Amenábar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes in the game Pierre Zuidema did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Baudelio Maillard. After a defensive mix-up in CSD Concepción's zone, Carlo Darrigrande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Podgoreanu came out of the goal and Carlo Darrigrande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Carlo Darrigrande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Podgoreanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlo Darrigrande in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Carlo Darrigrande put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Emanuel Podgoreanu. Emanuel Podgoreanu came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Carlo Darrigrande. But to his dismay, Carlo Darrigrande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlo Darrigrande to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Carlo Darrigrande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Podgoreanu. CSD Concepción's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlo Darrigrande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, CSD Concepción's Eriberto Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco Barrionuevo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bautista Marcó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Podgoreanu having to interfere. Chile's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
