After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Enrique Cassaretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Cassaretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sezai Yura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Germanas Judeikis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lokomotiv Bornova booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tulio Andinyach didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 82nd minute of the match CD Municipal got a corner. Lokomotiv Bornova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iacob Roman ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Iacob Roman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lokomotiv Bornova's Sezai Yura did a great save. Sezai Yura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mouricio Zuri in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Germanas Judeikis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lokomotiv Bornova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 95 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Sezai Yura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The CD Municipal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lokomotiv Bornova's performance. The match ended with a win for Lokomotiv Bornova.
