Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christoffer Modig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Oakcroft Thrashers's Christoffer Modig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Oakcroft Thrashers from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute, Inácio Secco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoffer Modig was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of F.C. Paços de Ferreira booed when Oakcroft Thrashers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludwig Ståhlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Ingemar Jonasson came free, but Péter Mészáros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Péter Mészáros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christoffer Modig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Péter Mészáros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Holm in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingemar Jonasson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Péter Mészáros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingemar Jonasson in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Péter Mészáros saved F.C. Paços de Ferreira from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Holm came free, but Péter Mészáros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when José Bomba made the kick off in the second half. Jörn Holm kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christoffer Modig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Igor Tudor in the 54th minute. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Igor Tudor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christoffer Modig in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Péter Mészáros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, José Bomba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christoffer Modig. Oakcroft Thrashers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Bomba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 75th match minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emin Sağan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Emin Sağan got a free kick in the 76th minute. A hard shot 79 in the game by Jörn Holm from a close distance when the talented Péter Mészáros managed to make a qualified save. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's players were relieved. Wiktor Miodek's late challenge caught a Oakcroft Thrashers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wiktor Miodek helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Wiktor Miodek got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 87 minutes, José Bomba made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Oakcroft Thrashers's Christoffer Modig tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. F.C. Paços de Ferreira walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
