Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Giraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cezary Chrzan was slow to take the kick. During this time SMOCZANKA MIELEC's players had a chance to rest. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Cezary Chrzan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin van der Sar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Beto Soeiro made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Poland's Ulryk Miodek. 36 minutes into the game, Beto Soeiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Roch Grondzki came out of the goal and Damazy Polek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Damazy Polek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Roch Grondzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 55 minutes SMOCZANKA MIELEC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jan Plaski who took care of the corner kick. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Lewandowski in the 57th minute. Zenon Jaszcz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Pawel Dawidowicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roch Grondzki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damazy Polek's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Marcus Wassenius kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Sylwester Klimkiewicz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 84th playminute. 91 minutes into the match, Roberto Lewandowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin van der Sar. Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Lewandowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylwester Klimkiewicz in the 96th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 97 played minutes Poland got a freekick which was hit by Ulryk Miodek.
