Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Akis Bouzios ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 5th match minute, FC Alinborger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Teodoroiu to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, FC Alinborger's goal looked a bit too open when Hektor Fitrakis came free, but Tadeu Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Hektor Fitrakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeu Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Hektor Fitrakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tadeu Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akis Bouzios, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doru Teodoroiu during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Doru Teodoroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Tadeu Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hektor Fitrakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Akis Bouzios put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tadeu Moraes. Tadeu Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akis Bouzios in the 27th minute of the match. Tadeu Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hektor Fitrakis in the 28th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Hektor Fitrakis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tadeu Moraes. FC Alinborger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hektor Fitrakis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akis Bouzios in the 46th minute of play forced FC Alinborger's goalkeeper Tadeu Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Hektor Fitrakis sped through FC Alinborger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tadeu Moraes. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cyprus's Akis Bouzios got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeu Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hektor Fitrakis in the 56th minute. Akis Bouzios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Tadeu Moraes made a huge save. Traian Delas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Tadeu Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Akis Bouzios in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, FC Alinborger's goalkeeper Tadeu Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hektor Fitrakis. Tadeu Moraes made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Akis Bouzios sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, Giorgos Neymar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cyprus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Tadeu Moraes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hektor Fitrakis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 73 minute of play. Tadeu Moraes stood somewhat misplaced when Hektor Fitrakis came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 76 minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Akis Bouzios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cyprus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akis Bouzios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Cyprus's Akis Bouzios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tadeu Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Tadeu Moraes came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Cyprus's Akis Bouzios. But to his dismay, Akis Bouzios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. A collision led to FC Alinborger getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Eduard Bucurescu hit a great ball. Cyprus's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
