The Racing Club fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Racing Club's İskender Baki Sabi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A sloppy throw-in by Marcos Alonso in the 12th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Utopía Muerta FC's Radoslaw Klocko. Olavo Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiusz Piatek in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Utopía Muerta FC booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 minutes Racing Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fermin Martinez who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tayyar Taner in the 22nd minute of play forced Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Mano Hume to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arkadiusz Piatek in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavo Henriques saved Racing Club from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arkadiusz Piatek in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Henriques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Arkadiusz Piatek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mano Hume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tayyar Taner, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Utopía Muerta FC's Arkadiusz Piatek in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mano Hume was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Racing Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
